Nagwan (Eden) is a self-sustaining homestead neighborhood designed for those who seek a deeper connection—both to the earth and to our neighbors. English is the primary language spoken amongst our sanctuary. As well the Vilcabamba valley has over 5000 expats who speak English. Here, you enjoy the autonomy & privacy of your own space and thoughtfully designed home while benefiting in the bounty of collaborative projects such as our 5 acre organic food forrest, animal husbandry, community center, and our newest projects which include an indoor pool, spa, co-working center along with other amenities. Surrounded by abundance, our neighborhood also features a school, shared organic gardens, thriving greenhouses, and cooperative ran livestock, all woven seamlessly into a breathtaking mountainous landscape. At the heart of our village are year-round greenhouses and organic gardens. Skip the trip to the grocery store and share in a seasonal bounty of fresh Andean fruits, heirloom vegetables, and fresh herbs, alongside humanely raised community livestock.
Medical Center:
Peace of mind is built directly into our infrastructure. Our on-site (moving from old location to new facility) medical center is equipped for emergency first-response care, minimizing the need to travel for essential health needs. The center will feature private exam rooms, an advanced first-aid clinic, a well-stocked natural pharmacy, and dedicated spaces for visiting healthcare professionals. Blending modern medicine with the healing power of the Andes, it also offers dedicated spaces for holistic therapies, acupuncture, and physical rehabilitation, ensuring comprehensive healthcare is always just a short walk from your front door.
The Community Cookhouse & Gathering Pavilion:
A beautifully designed, indoor-outdoor community center for praising The Creator which features a commercial-grade kitchen, wood-fired ovens, and spacious dining areas. It is a space designed for shared weekly gatherings, celebrating milestones, hosting workshops, or simply enjoying a cup of locally grown Ecuadorian coffee with neighbors by the fire.
Flowing Waterways & Natural Wellness Trails:
Our landscape is a living sanctuary. We offer miles of private, curated hiking and walking trails that wind through the natural mountain topography, alongside pristine rivers and waterfalls. Scattered throughout the property are quiet resting spots where you can sit back and take in the beauty at your own pace.
The Maker’s Space:
True self-reliance requires the right tools. We will offer a fully equipped workshop and community tool shed, giving all residents access to agricultural machinery, woodworking equipment, and maintenance tools without the burden of individual ownership.
